On May 5th, 2012, Diplomat Hotel hosted the 1st General Assembly (Congress) of Azerbaijan Youth Translators Assocation (AGTA).

The Congress started with reporting speech of AGTA chairman-in-office Ismayil Jabrayilov, who spoke about the 7 months long operation of AGTA, challenges in state registration, activities, projects undertaken, and the first Code of Ethics for translators in Azerbaijan that was publicized in December, 2011.

The reporting speech was followed by elections to leading positions of the organization (chairman, Management Board and Inspection and Revision Committee). Ismayil Jabrayilov was unanimously elected as the chairman of Azerbaijan Youth Translators Association.

Then followed the elections to the Management Board (MB) and Inspection and Revision Committee (IRC).  Through secret voting, the attendees chose the Board and the Committee in the following composition:

Management Board:  Israfil Khakiyev, Elmar Farajov, Rashad Huseynov, Narmin Mammadova and  Gunel Mammadova.

Inspection and Revision Committee: Gunel Tahmazzadeh, Gunay Ahmadli, Mohsum Mohsumzadeh, Imamali Gasimov and Nurgul Huseynzadeh.
